INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION HEALTH COACH & BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST

Are you sick of flare-ups ruining your social plans, always needing to know where the bathrooms are, and having to buy clothes that hide the unforgiving bloat?

YOU’RE IN THE RIGHT PLACE.

Welcome! My name is Adriana. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis when I was 7-years-old, but have been living symptom-free for 7 years after implementing dietary and lifestyle interventions. I have a passion for gut health and over a decade of experience in behavior modification, so helping others diagnosed with Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis improve their symptoms through diet and lifestyle changes has become my life mission. I will guide you through the Autoimmune Protocol, which is an evidence-based, lifestyle approach designed to identify the culprits of your inflammation and improve your symptoms.

Although there is no cure for Crohn’s and Colitis, lifestyle and dietary interventions have been shown to significantly reduce symptoms.

Working with a Health Coach is life changing.

“There is no better feeling than feeling in control of your symptoms.”

In today’s society, we have been trained to believe that quick fixes are superior. We look for the fastest and easiest ways to treat our symptoms, which usually involves some sort of medication. Even surgery can be sold as the easy (or only) way to relief. But what we usually find is that, quicker and easier doesn’t always equate to achieving results that last. And even worse, we are still left feeling no sense of control over our symptoms.

The most empowering lesson I learned on my autoimmune journey is that the health of our guts are directly related to the symptoms we’re experiencing. This gave me a completely different perspective on my disease. I started viewing my symptoms as messages from my body that my gut was out of balance, rather than a big (and seemingly random) “F YOU”. I started listening to my body. But not just those gurgling sounds and sharp pains in my stomach. The other “non-related” ones too - my acne, allergies, dry skin, headaches. All of those became signals to me that I needed to focus on my gut health, even when my stomach wasn’t the one doing the talking. And when I centered all of my focus on balancing my gut, I felt like I won the lottery. There were no more “quick fixes” for each individual issue. I had found the key to symptom relief. And let me tell you, there is no better feeling than feeling in control of your symptoms.

This is both mind-blowing and convenient. It’s crazy to think that your gut can dictate so many ailments, but also incredible that you can solve so many issues by targeting just one thing. It’s almost like we should feel lucky that we were blessed with IBD so that we could discover this very fact. No? Too soon? ;)

The Balanced with Adriana programs are designed specifically for women with IBD to find relief from their symptoms. However, it is not uncommon to find relief from other symptoms as a result of this process as well. Learn more below!
